Fosse Highcross Ward Blaby District Councillors Monthly Report - January 2023
We attended the regular bacon buttie morning at the Evergreen Hall last month and was pleased to be joined by the chair of Blaby District Council, Cllr Cheryl Cashmore.
Well done to all the organisers, stall holders and volunteers. These community events are so important and we’re so grateful to everyone involved.

HNRFI Update Examination

New HNRFI hearing announced for Wednesday January 2024
On the 28th November 2023 the Examining Authority published a Rule 8(3), 9 and 13 letter, which can be found on the Council’s website using reference 22/3000/HNRFI. This letter outlines details of an additional hearing which has been scheduled for Wednesday 24th January 2024 and will cover Traffic and Transport and Noise. This hearing is to be held at the Sketchley Grange Hotel and Spa, Sketchley Lane, Burbage, LE10 3HU and can be attended virtually on Microsoft Teams. If any Councillor, Resident, or Interested Party who have already registered in being part of the examination process, would wish to participate in the hearing, the request should be sent to the Case Team email:
[email protected] by 23:59 hours on Tuesday 16 January 2024.
The Council is currently working on documents to submit for Deadline 4 scheduled for the 9th January.
We will continue to fight to stop the HNRFI proposals as we move forward through the examination and beyond.
Fosse Meadows Update – New Loos
After several cases of vandalism and arson attacks, we're pleased to see the new loos installed at Fosse Meadows 👍
It was good to catch up Mason who runs the coffee van on site. Head down when you can and grab a cuppa ☕️
