Shane has lived in the District over 25 years. Shane and his wife have been together for over 25 years and have two grown up children. They  have a strong association with Countesthorpe, with his wife being born and raised in the village and many family and friends living there.

Professionally, he works as Business Process Manager for a FTSE 250 company and his wife as a Teaching Assistant at a Primary School in the District. Previously, for over 20 years, he worked locally as Tourism Manager for Leicester and nationally, as Industry Relations Manager for the Visit England Hotel Star Rating contract.
He has built a successful career and believe that communication is the key to success, alongside customer service and building strong relations through trust.

As a District Councillor from 2019 to 2023, he worked with our local Police force and supported local residents and businesses regarding various issues in the village.
