Fosse Stoney Cove
Neil Wright
Neil Wright was born in Leigh, Lancashire but moved to Leicestershire as a small boy when his father became manager of Redland Pipes at Potters Marsden (now the Calor Gas site, Stoney Stanton). He attended school in Lutterworth, leaving to take up work in a local engineering company. His career progressed to the Ink manufacturing industry where he set up his own company as a consultant specialising in Colour Management for the packaging sector. This career path has led to work both nationally and around the world.
Neil is married to Maggie and they have two grown up sons and live locally in Thurlaston, where he has served as a Parish Councillor and has community interests. As a Parish Councillor he worked on the Fosse Villages Neighbourhood Plan, and is keen to see it is updated and fit for purpose. Neil has a long association with the area and is well aware of issues and concerns within the new Fosse Stoney Cove Ward as they directly affect him and his family.
Neil is an ex-rugby player and keen supporter of Leicester Tigers. He is also interested in wildlife and countryside conservation and is very pleased to see future proposals for regeneration once Croft Quarry is exhausted and filled.
