Matt moved to New Lubbesthorpe in 2020 with his partner and son, having recognised the strong community spirit and accessibility to services they were looking for.

Matt and his partner were impressed with how well New Lubbesthorpe was planned, including facilities such as the on demand bus service, lovely green spaces, and the overall sustainability agenda. They were inspired with the national awards the area had received, including the 2019 LGC Award for Housing Initiative, East Midlands Insider Property Awards 2019, East Midlands RTPI Awards 2020, to name a few.

With over 12 years’ experience working for national retailers, Matt has developed a strong appreciation of how lifelong learning and a positive attitude can provide great opportunities for all. He intends to bring this strong focus and tireless work ethic into the role as a District Councillor.
