Leicestershire County Council : Enderby and Lubbesthorpe Division
Helen Richardson (known as Louise) has lived in the area for over 35 years. She has been married for over 45 years to Terry and they have two grown up children and six grandchildren.
Prior to moving to Leicestershire Louise worked for the National Health Service in Pathology Following relocation, worked for several years in Education, retiring from the role of school business manager at a very large secondary school in the city.
Louise has always been very active in the local community having set up a Rainbows group when her daughter was very young, serving on several school friends and community groups and having run the local church Sunday school for several years.
In addition she has also been active in the volunteer sector, both home and abroad.
She is a counsellor and enjoys working with people, she is a published author and also loves to paint as a hobby.
Louise is the founder of Tumaini Jipya – New Hope, a charity working in the Maasai area of Tanzania.
Louise is a Parish Councillor and County Councillor, currently sitting on Cabinet at County with responsibility for the health portfolio. Having served as a District Councillor from 2015 to 2023, cares passionately about the local community especially the most vulnerable and her careers have provided her with a unique insight into some of the challenges faced.
