Blaby District Council : Countesthorpe Ward
Adrian Clifford has always lived in Countesthorpe and values the quality of life the villages of Countesthorpe, Kilby and Foston provide.
He is family orientated and strongly believes in the importance of protecting the environment and countryside so important to residents and for future generations.
As both a District Councillor since 2015 and a Countesthorpe Parish Councillor for over 20 years, he has always considered both roles to not only be an honour and privilege, but a commitment with a great deal of responsibility. These responsibilities have consistently focussed upon local issues, local residents and local concerns. he remains resolute the voice of residents must be heard and effectively represented within local decision making. Consistently remaining at the forefront of debates pertaining to local housing development, be assured he will continue to effectively represent residents in their concerns.
Professionally, he has worked within the field of Youth and Community work for over 30 years and has significant experience of working effectively with a broad range of services and different communities. As District Councillor, he is incredibly proud to have the role of Blaby District Council Youth Champion and continue at the forefront of seeking to develop local services for our young people. This included originally securing Countesthorpe Parish Council funding, continuing to enable twice weekly detached street-based youth work to take place throughout Countesthorpe.
